Great for age 7-9 years

The second in the exciting new Jelly Pie series of books for girls from Marianne Levy about a little film star with a big personality.

Dear Everybody,

I'm an incredibly famous film star! Everyone knows who I am, even Eskimos and people in France. And I've just made friends with an amazingly beautiful model. In fact, she's going to be in my next film! Jeffrey's worried I won't like sharing the spotlight. But I'm sure it'll be fine. After all, I always share my fudge cake. Well, almost always, anyway . . .

Love, Ellie May xxx

Marianne Levy Before she started writing books, Marianne Levy was an actress. Not the incredibly famous sort, though. After graduating from Cambridge University she appeared in a few TV shows and did a bit of comedy on Radio 4. She has been in one film, in which she managed to forget both her lines. Since then, Marianne has written for The Story of Tracy Beaker, introduced America's Next Top Model and been the voice of a yogurt. She lives in London, and spends her spare time eating cheese and hassling other people's dogs. Ali Pye graduated from Kingston University with an MA in illustration in 2010. Her work combines digital and hand-drawn elements. She was highly commended (Most Promising New Talent) in the 2012 Junior Design Awards.
