Kate Leake studied Children's Illustration at the North Wales School of Art and Design and was runner-up in the 2004 Macmillan Prize for Illustration with THE BEST CHIP. She based the story on a childhood memory of dropping a chip on the floor of a restaurant and the trauma it caused her! Caroline Juskus has been a nurse, a silk-screen printer, a publisher, an interior designer and a mural artist. She lives in Gloucester with a loopy black cat, a husband and two teenage sons and writes from a bright orange tablel
