The book comes with an accompanying CD which includes the much-loved recording of the song by Peggy Lee that's just perfect for singing along to. 'Winter Wonderland is one of my favourite songs and one thats played over and over again in our house throughout the winter months. Hearing it conjures up happy memories of winter walks in the woods with my family and friends. No matter how old you are, I think the wonder and excitement of waking up to a world under a blanket of snow still remains. TIM HOPGOOD

Tim Hopgood is an award-winning author and illustrator based in York, UK. His first picture book Our Big Blue Sofa won the Cambridgeshire Read It Again! Award in 2007. This was followed by A Dog Called Rod, shortlisted for the Red House Children's Book of the Year and the British Book Design Awards. In 2008 Tim won the Book Trust Early Years Award for Best Emerging Illustrator for Here Comes Frankie! His first book for younger readers Wow! Said The Owl was shortlisted for the Book Trust Pre-School Award in 2009. Tim has been nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal four times. Tim's picture book based on the much-loved song What a Wonderful World was published internationally and selected by Book Trust for their early years pack gifted to every two-year old child in Wales. Winter Wonderland was written in 1934 by Richard B Smith and Felix Bernard. They were inspired to write the song after Richard saw the park in his home town covered in glistening snow. Tim Hopgood is the illustrator of What a Wonderful World, Walking in a Winter Wonderland, Hooray for Hoppy!, Wow! Said the Owl, and many other popular picture books. He lives with his family in North Yorkshire, England.
