Ducoboo is always sitting a the back of the classroom and getting in trouble. He has to employ treasures of imagination to avoid getting interrogated by the teacher and having to wear the dunce cap. In his efforts to be 'a good student', he copies relentlessy on Leonie, who sits next to him and is an ace student. However, she hates people copying her work and Ducoboo ends up having to stand in the corner more than once.

The irresistible rise of Ducoboo is due to the talents of Zidrou and Godi. A former teacher and current creator of songs and books for children, Zidrou is the scriptwriter of several Graphic Novels, notably Ducoboo, which he produces in collaboration with Godi. Godi published his first humorous comic strips in the Tintin Newspaper during the Seventies. Appearing in 1992, their Ducobu Pupil quickly became a favourite character of children. Zidrou is an author of short stories, picture books and graphic novels, born in Belgium and living in France. He began his working life as a teacher, before turning to writing. He has now had more than 20 books published.
