This title introduces the components of our natural environment, focusing on rocks, soil and water. It also explains the way in which land formations such as mountains , valleys and volcanoes were formed long ago.

Jakki Wood has written and illustrated many books for children, particularly known for her depiction of animals. She lives in East Anglia.
