Mark Elvy - Lives in Aylesbury, enjoys the countryside, visiting the seaside (especially Weymouth), and supporting our wonderful local breweries. I've always been an avid reader from a very early age, and still read every day. So one day I had a brainwave - (I don't get many of them) - Why not write my own? I mean how hard could it be? Writing a book should be easy, I've read hundreds of them over the years - So off I went, armed with pen, paper, plenty of tipex and my trusty lap-top. My bestseller should be finished in a few days - Well how wrong could I be?? How could it be so hard!! I have discovered that writing a children's book is way harder than I thought. Children will be honest when proof reading your best efforts, and just when you think you've cracked it they bring you back down to earth with their honesty! (Adult's will often tell you what they think you want to hear!) Anyway, several attempts, and many late nights later I did eventually finish my first book - The tales of Fluke and Tash - Robin Hood adventure. Several late nights later I am now pleased to confirm book four has been finished. My favourite quote - Nobody can go back and start a new beginning but anyone can start today and make a new ending. Stuart Trotter has illustrated Brum and the Airport Adventure and Brum Pop-up.
