Claire Hawcock read English at the University of London and went on to become a children's book editor. She moved to Bath in 1996, where she now lives with her husband, David, and two young children, Isaac and Anna, working as a freelance writer and editor. Mine, All Mine! is her first picture book and was inspired by watching her children play. Chiara Pasqualotto was born in Padua, Italy. She has been painting and drawing since she was a child, and studied illustration at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. She has lived in France, the Czech Republic and America. Chiara recently moved back to Padua, where she lives with her striped cat called Mimma. Mine, All Mine! is Chiara's first book for children. Andy Blackford is an ex-advertising executive with a vivid imagination. He has recently had several of his picture books published, before contributing to Leapfrog. Deborah Nash is a freelance journalist and storyteller. She is the author of numerous children's plays, several of which have been produced professionally, and has also written drama scripts for BBC Worldwide and Radio. This is her first story for this age range. Steve Smallman has taken up writing his own stories after illustrating children's books for over 30 years. He also teaches illustration and mural-painting workshops in schools. When he's not working, Steve enjoys films, television, gardening and walking in the countryside. Nick Schon was born in London and now lives in Luton with his wife, three children and five lazy cats. He has worked as an art director at an advertising agency and now illustrates full time. Andy Elkerton is a highly talented illustrator who has now turned his hand to writing. He has illustrated many fabulous readers on the Franklin Watts list. One of his recent titles, I Love this Tree, was shortlisted for the SLA awards.
