Betty Brock is the author of several books for young children. She has two grown daughters and lives in Alexandria, VA. Wallace Tripp has illustrated many books for children, including Come Back, Amelia Bedelia. He lives in California. Wallace Tripp studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. He has illustrated more than fifty children's books. Mr. Tripp and his wife run a greeting card company in Peterborough, New Hampshire. They have three children, two dogs, and two cats. Peggy Parish was born and grew up in Manning, South Carolina. Before moving to New York City, she taught school in the Panhandle country and in coal-mining areas. Her first job in New York City was with the Girl Scouts, and she now teaches the third grade at the Dalton School in Manhattan. Miss Parish is the author of several other books for children, including the popular Let's Be Indians. James Watts is a published author and illustrator of children's and young adult books. He also illustrated Zack's Alligator and Zack's Alligator Goes to School. He lives in San Francisco.
