In "Frightful's Daughter" by Jean Craighead George, the story continues the journey of Frightful, a young peregrine falcon, as she matures and faces the challenges of the wild. Following the events of "Frightful’s Mountain," the narrative explores themes of survival and freedom as Frightful learns to hunt, navigate her territory, and care for her young. With the help of her human companion, Sam, she learns valuable lessons about instinct, independence, and the bond between nature and nurture. The novel captures the beauty of the natural world while highlighting the trials and triumphs of a young bird navigating her environment.
