The Last Bear
April accompanies her scientist father to the Arctic where he has been appointed to monitor data about how global warming is affecting the region. Living in isolation with her father, who is grieving for the loss of her mother, April steps out into the snow to explore and befriends a solitary bear who she realises cannot reach home because the ice floes are melting. An affecting story about relationships and what humans are doing to the natural world.
