The Children of Green Knowe

The story follows a young boy named Tolly, who goes to stay with his great-grandmother, Mrs. Oldknow, at Green Knowe, an ancient manor house. Tolly's great-grandmother is an old lady with a deep connection to the house, and she is accompanied by a host of mysterious characters—spirits of children from different time periods who once lived at Green Knowe. As Tolly settles into Green Knowe, he discovers that the house is not as empty as it seems. He encounters the spirits of three children: Toby, Alexander, and Linnet. These ghostly children lived at Green Knowe during different historical periods, and they share their past experiences with Tolly.
